Do we need to rinse plastic food items (e.g. yogurt, microwave safe food trays) before placing in recycling? I will not waste water on rinsing. Am hoping the answer is no.

So what happens to bundles now if other countries like China don't want the materials? I've read all this still goes to the landfill because cities like San Jose can't find anyone to take their recycling.
Great video! One question though: The video specifically pointed out a "food soiled paper plate" which should not be put in the recycling bin. What if the paper plate is clean or rinsed first? Would it be recyclable in that case?

Hi @iiSnow_Lawz YT . Thank you for your comment. Correct, California Waste Solutions does collect recycling. What you see in the video is a Green Team truck collecting the recycling. This is because, in San José, different collection companies provide different services depending on where you live. So California Waste Solutions picks up recycling in one part of the city, and Green Team picks it up in another. This is a common question we hear from San José residents. So no need to worry, if you see a Green Team truck picking up recycling they are taking it to a recycling facility as well. Thank you.
